Dr. Scott D. Lane, PhD is a Professor and Vice Chair for Research in the Faillace Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the UTHealth McGovern Medical School, University of Texas Health Center, Houston, Texas, USA. He co-directs the Center for Neurobehavioral Research on Addictions (CNRA). Additionally, Dr. Lane serves as the Director of Research at UTHealth Harris County Psychiatric Center. He is a member of the Neuroscience faculty of the M.D. Anderson – UTHealth Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS).
Dr. Lane has been funded by the U.S. National Institutes of Health since 1997, and he has also received foundation and industry funding. His research focuses on behavioral neuroscience in Substance Use Disorders (SUD). His work has been published in over 175 peer reviewed journals. He is a recipient of the Wyeth-Ayerst/APA Young Psychopharmacologist award and the UTHealth John P. McGovern Endowed Research Scholar Award.
